The Story Behind GMS Invoice Manager
How a frustrating internal studio bottleneck transformed into a streamlined SaaS platform for creators.
Born inside Green Maison Studios
A creative studio's quest for simple, beautiful billingLike many design studios, Green Maison Studios faced a tedious problem: every time a project wrapped up, our team had to manually open Adobe Illustrator to format invoices, align tables, and generate PDF bills. Available invoicing tools on the market were either cluttered with complicated ERP menus, riddled with ugly and dated templates, or locked behind overpriced subscriptions.
We decided to build our own internal tool—focused exclusively on impeccable design typography, instant 1-minute creation, and effortless simplicity. The tool turned out so intuitive and fast that clients and fellow creatives kept asking how we made our invoices. That’s when we knew we had to turn it into a dedicated SaaS product for everyone.
The Illustrator Nightmare
Spending hours adjusting vector margins, manual calculations, and typesetting invoices in Illustrator just to get paid. Existing software was overpriced, bulky, and visually uninspiring.
The Studio's Secret Tool
We built a clean, lightning-fast billing generator tailored for creators: instant line-item math, designer-grade templates, deposit receipts, and one-click PDF exports.
From Internal Tool to SaaS
Clients and peers loved the invoice aesthetics and asked for access. We rebuilt it from the ground up as a complete, accessible cloud platform for freelancers, agencies, and businesses worldwide.
